Arturo focuses his practice primarily in the area of trial work and litigation. He has experience in preparing cases for trial including, but not limited to opening statement at a jury trial, taking and defending numerous depositions, preparing experts and percipient witnesses for deposition and trial, preparation and argument of motions in state and federal courts, drafting motions for summary judgment and other complex pre-trial motions.

Arturo currently works for the national law firm of Foley & Mansfield PLLP.  Prior to joining Foley & Mansfield, Arturo worked at the two international law firms of McDermott Will & Emery and Squire Sanders where his primary practice involved intellectual property litigation and general litigation matters. He represented high tech companies in patent trials, binding contractual arbitrations, and mediations.
Currently, Arturo is an articles editor for New Matter, the State Bar of California’s Intellectual Property Law Section publication. He has authored one article in this publication.
While in law school, Arturo was a law extern to the Honorable Judge John Munter of the San Francisco Superior Court. Arturo was also a member of the Hastings International and Comparative Law Review and participated in Hastings’ Moot Court competitive program.

Arturo received his JD in 2003 from the University of California Hastings, College of the Law. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2003 and is admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals, 9th Circuit, and the U.S. District Court, Northern and Central Districts of California.

He is the Immediate Past President of the San Francisco La Raza Lawyer’s Association.
